Bertha's eyes reveal a broken heart.
Her previous owner became seriously ill and could no longer care for her.
Worried Bertha will fall into a dark depression, we are anxious to find her a loving, forever home as soon as possible. We are trying to give her extra attention and we matched her up with a kennel mate for temporary companionship.
Bertha is a gentle, mellow girl with unique beauty, reportedly a Bernese Mountain Dog mix, and she is spayed, about 5 years of age, and terrific with other sweet dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
